The Centre
for Galician Studies is organizing a two-day workshop on Galician Traditional Music
with the musician and actor Mano Panforreteiro.
Mano will be bringing Galician
bagpipes, tambourines, tambours, ocarinas, Galician jew’s harps, finger
castanets, peitoques, etc. and giving our students the opportunity to discover
Traditional Galician Music first-hand.
This
workshop will be taking place on two different days:
- Individual sessions: On Friday 31 January the students of Galician will have the opportunity to pick and play traditional instruments.
- Group session: On Monday 3 February we will be practicing Galician percussion, singing and dancing.
We
encourage you to come and give it a try!
